Waterbury, CT Andrew John Lucewicz, Jr. "Loving husband, father, grandfather & brother" Andrew John Lucewicz, Jr., age 78, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Vanessa Y. (Pratt) Lucewicz for 30 years. Andrew was born on June 11, 1947 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Andrew John and Mary (Cipriano) Lucewicz, Sr. He was a 1965 graduate of Watertown High School and earned an Associate Degree from Post College. Before his retirement, he worked as an accountant for Ansonia Copper & Brass for 37 years and after retiring from Ansonia, he worked for Access Rehab Centers for many years. Andrew was a member of the Falls Avenue Senior Center in Oakville. He coached softball and basketball for the Waterbury Special Olympics. He enjoyed fishing and volleyball and was an avid bowler for the Thomaston Lanes. Besides his wife of Waterbury, he leaves his daughters, Susan Lucewicz of Waterbury, CT, Andrea Mitchell and her husband, Charlie of Middlebury, CT, Patti Theiss of Woodbury, CT, sisters, Irene Lucewicz of Watertown, CT, Lorraine Guiditta and her husband, Brian of Morrisville, NC, brother, Richard Lucewicz of Seminole, FL, granddaughters, Cate Lavigne (Ally), Brittney DiStasi (Angelo), Carlie Mitchell and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements: Calling hours for Andrew will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. A prayer service will follow the wake at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
