Carol Chavis Obituary

Carol Ann (Henderson) Chavis, 83, of Manchester, passed away on the morning of June 26, 2025. Daughter of the late James P. And Winifred F. (Lennon) Henderson, Carol Ann was born on December 10, 1941 in Manchester, CT. Carol was a former Civil Air Patrol member, retired from Pratt & Whitney East Hartford, and enjoyed porcelain doll making, handicrafts, stained glass, Dunkin Donuts, cardigan sweaters, and the beach. She met her husband Victor when he was in the US Army and stationed in Connecticut. Carol Ann is survived by her daughter, Carol Alisa Filecco and her husband Thomas; her beloved granddaughters, Megan and Angela Filecco; her sister Mary Chasse and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, James and Winifred Henderson, and her husband, Victor, Carol Ann was predeceased by her son, Victor Chavis III and her sister Jean Rickert. John F. Tierney Funeral Home has care of the arrangements. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans.
