Charles Talmadge

Charles W. G. Talmadge, III, of Guilford died on Saturday January 25, 2025 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born in New Haven on January 31, 1954, son of the late Charles W. G. Talmadge, II, and Viola Brockway Talmadge. He grew up in East Haven with Nellie Greens and the Talmadge Boatyard as his playground. He had a love for boating, Block Island, the Kancamagus Highway and the White Mountains in New Hampshire. He was known to be the best diesel mechanic in New England and employed at Cherry Hill Construction for many years, as they are considered friends of ours. He had a wealth of knowledge and loved history. He will be missed always. Charles a.k.a. Chuckie, was a Viking, he saved lives by donating his organs to save three lives. He rests peacefully with this knowledge and his family rests with the knowledge of knowing this. Survived by his daughters, Shalene Talmadge and Season Talmadge, two wonderful grandsons, Dominic Pagano and Declin Pagano and his siblings, Charlene (David) Massey, Edith Northam, Douglas Talmadge, Gregory (Robin) Talmadge, Craig Talmadge, Todd (Hillary) Talmadge, and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00, at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
