Christine Ruggiero Obituary

Christine "Chris" (Mercugliano) Ruggiero, 101, of West Haven passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of October 20, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur G. Ruggiero. Christine was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Anthony and Nancy (D'Acunto) Mercugliano. She is survived by her son, Steven (Carol Tanner) Ruggiero, grandchild Christine (Ruggiero) Howard, and great-grandchildren Melanie and James Howard, and many nieces and nephews. Christine was predeceased by her brother Frank B. Mercugliano, and her sisters Rose Perrone and Clara Esposito. Christine was beloved for her irrepressible sense of humor and dedication to friends and family. Christine was also renowned for her cooking, especially her traditional pasta sauces. She loved joining her many friends for Bingo and enjoyed walks along the beach in West Haven. Services were entrusted to the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. All services will be private.
