Cynthia Urso Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" DuBois Urso, age 70, of Enfield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born on August 1, 1954, at Saint Francis Hospital, Cindy was the cherished daughter of the late Arthur J. DuBois and Gertrude (Roy) DuBois. A dedicated public servant, Cindy served as a police dispatcher for the East Windsor Police Department for 33 years, retiring in July 2016. Known for her calm presence, professionalism, and integrity, she provided unwavering support to officers and the community, touching countless lives through her commitment. In retirement, Cindy found joy in the simple pleasures of life-spending time with her beloved husband of 27 years, Gaetano Urso, and their cherished dog, Molly. A passionate animal lover, she was a proud supporter of the ASPCA and regularly contributed to causes that gave helpless animals a second chance at life. Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, Gaetano; her twin sister, Wanda DuBois Lindsey Grote; her brother, Kenneth DuBois; her nieces, Jill DuBois Wyatt and her husband Richard, and Stacy DuBois Covey and her husband Michael; and nine great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves her brothers-in-law, Giovanni Urso and Salvatore Urso, and her sister-in-law, Carmella Sacco DuBois. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Arthur J. DuBois Jr., and her brothers-in-law, Todd B. Lindsey and Richard J. Grote. Family and friends are invited to Visitation on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. As I say goodbye to you, Cindy, I thank you for being the good person that you were, for all the fun times we had together many years ago, and that we still kept in touch after I moved so far away. You found a happy life with your loving and devoted husband, Gaetano, and that was truly a blessing. Patty and I wish you eternal peace. You will never be forgotten. Love, Dave & Patty Cyr, Peoria AZ
