Daniel Ernest Jacobsen

Daniel Ernest Jacobsen, 61, of Vernon, loving husband of the late Beny (Vina) Jacobsen, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. He was born on September 21, 1963, in Hartford, one of five beloved children of Frances B. Hobbs of Shallotte, NC and the late Ernest R. Jacobsen. He was raised in South Windsor and graduated high school in 1981. Danny was a veteran and served in the Army Reserves. Prior to his retirement in 2023, Danny worked for over 40 years for the Town of South Windsor Public Works Department. He had a passion for travel, especially in Asia and Europe. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends. Danny lived adventurously and loved life. He was always willing to help family and friends. He was very caring, supportive, and always made you laugh. Danny is survived by his beloved stepchildren Junry and Joven of the Philippines, his mother Frances Hobbs, his sister Robin Landrie and husband Larry of North Carolina, his brothers Bob and wife Sue of Manchester, Jimmy and wife Marlene of South Windsor, and Joey of Manchester, his nieces and nephews, Jason, Andrea and husband Scott, Danielle, Rachael, Sara and husband Josh, Kristina and fiancé Cain, and Gabriella, and 8 great nieces and nephews including his Godson Kristopher. In addition to his wife and father, Danny was predeceased by his stepfather Pete Hobbs, his stepmother Su Bok, and his nephew Christopher. At Danny's request, the burial will be private. However, family and friends are welcome to join us for a celebration of life to honor him on Wednesday, June 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 at The Army & Navy Club, 1090 Main Street, Manchester, CT.
