David Dannin Obituary

David Dannin of Brookfield CT lost his battle with Parkinson's on August 14th 2025, with his family by his side, after a long fought battle. David was born on April 7 1935 in Newport RI, to Mary (Adler) and Victor Dannin. He met the love of his life Charlene, got engaged in a week, and married in 6 months, they were married 67 years. They moved from Framingham MA in 1962 to Danbury, where he was a stock broker in NYC, and then joined the family business, Fairfield Processing in Danbury. After his retirement he decided he still wanted to keep going, and bought, and transformed Mountain Laurel Plaza, in Bethel Ct, which he was so proud of. He was loved and respected by all his tenants, and treated them with such kindness. He had so many friends near and far, and there where so many times his family would run into someone that knew him, and we were always told, what we already knew, what a terrific man he was. He was proceeded by his parents, and his son Michael, who he missed dearly. He is survived by his wife Charlene (Young) Dannin, his daughter Jennifer Dannin, and his son Victor Dannin (Sheri). He cherished his granddaughters Samantha ( Lehto) Dannin, her husband Eric, and Jessica Dannin. His great grandchildren Eliana, Sebastian, Caden, and Miles. He will be sorely missed by many. The funeral will be at the United Jewish Center, 141 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, CT on Wednesday August 20th, at 10:00, burial directly after, at the Jewish cemetery, 124 Grays Bridge Rd, Brookfield Ct.
