Deborah Howe Obituary

CORNWALL - Deborah Ann Howe passed away June 16, 2025. She leaves behind daughters, Jenny Lang of Virginia and Abigail Howe of Hawaii, along with son-in-law Craig Lang, 5 grandchildren, McKenzy, Rex, Faith, Elijah, and Abraham, and two great grandchildren, Adeline and Auggie. Along with so many friends from around the world. Let us remember our mom's, love for bears, boy how she loved to see those giant "birds" eating at her feeders! Her love of taking pictures, has left boxes and boxes with thousands of videos and pictures of so many memories, of wildlife, fly-fishing, family and more. Oh how she loved her Pixi Pearl, as she called her precious little dog; they were inseparable. She had just lost Pixi four weeks ago. Pixi was such a perfect companion for mom. Mom was a fantastic cook and had a warped, but funny sense of humor. Mom was pigheaded and strong, stubborn and a few more adjectives we will leave alone, ha ha. But she loved her family and her friends and that Pixi Pearl! We will miss that cooking and her LUM's, her "oooh oooh oooh's" when something excited her, like lemon cake, bears in the yard or bears anywhere for that matter, a fish on the line. I personally will miss when she would break into uncontrollable laughter triggering us into it and soon we were all laughing so hard we were crying and trying not to pee our pants! When she laughed boy, she laughed, and that is a wonderful memory to keep! Mom also had this 'know-it-allness', I don't think it's in the dictionary, although it should be, because she perfected it, and those who knew our mom know exactly what we're talking about! Our mom, "Debe" to her friends, will be greatly missed by all of us, we all loved our mom so much! Be blessed, dear friends and family, please remember life is, but a breath, don't waste time, live it well and purposefully! Amen A Celebration of Life will be held at a time to be announced at a later date. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of her arrangements. I can't believe this! Our deepest sympathy to Deb's family. Our son Jim worked for Duke and had a deep respect for Deb and oh how she loved to cook for him! I too had several visits with her and she instantly became your friend. In our last text message after Pixie died, we discovered that we were only two days apart in age! I know she's in a better place but I know how much everyone will miss her! Prayers for all!
