Frederick L. Emmerich

Frederick L. Emmerich, 81, of Ocala, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2025 with his family at his side at the Cates Hospice Home. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Mary Jane (Jarvie) Emmerich. Fred was born in New Haven, CT on July 8, 1943 and was the son of Frederick L. Emmerich, Sr. and Evelyn (Glynn) Emmerich. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Chad Michael Emmerich, and daughter, Taryn Jane Duncan. Grandfather of Noah Jack Duncan, Nicholas James Emmerich, Jonathon Chad Emmerich, Cooper Jarvie Duncan, Carolynn Jane Emmerich, and Rylan Chad Emmerich. Brother of James Robert Emmerich and pre-deceased by sister Evelyn (Emmerich) Swan. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews. Fred proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corps. This included two tours of duty in Vietnam. Fred was a graduate of the University of New Haven where he received his Bachelor's Degree. He then worked as a Systems Analyst for SNET. Upon taking early retirement, he and his wife moved to Florida where Fred happily worked on his ranch managing his horses and cattle. Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 22nd from 4:00-7:00pm at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home: 36 Washington Ave. North Haven, CT. Friends and family are invited on Friday May 23rd to go directly to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10am at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church: 44 Washington Ave. North Haven, CT. Burial will be private.
