Jacqueline DeGroff

It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother Jacqueline DeGroff on September 14, 2025. Born in Manchester, CT, on March 31, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Violette (Peltier) Pillard. Married in 1956 to Robert S. Kondratovicz for 23 years, they had 5 children. She was also the beloved wife of Harold C. DeGroff. She was a devoted communicant of St. Francis of the Assisi Church in South Windsor and had lived in South Windsor since 1987. She was a loving, caring person with a gentle spirit. She loved to read, enjoyed playing cards and watching the Boston Red Sox or Lady Huskies. She delighted in cheering her grandchildren on in their various sports, concerts, recitals and academic achievements. After her retirement from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in 2000, she and Harold wintered in Summerfield, Florida. She graduated from Manchester High School Class of 1954 and attended Hillyer College, which is now the University of Hartford. She is survived by her loving husband Harold C. DeGroff, her daughters Paula Walsh and her husband Paul, Trish Malitsky and her husband William; her sons Jeffrey Kondratovicz and his wife Maureen, John Kondratovicz and his wife Kathleen and son Joel Kondratovicz; and 6 precious grandchildren Samantha, Kara, and Robert Kondratovicz, Aidan and Aubree Malitsky, Olivia Walsh; as well as her sister Dyann Venezia. She was predeceased by her brothers Charles (Bud) Pillard, Michael T. Pillard and Richard X. Pillard, and her sisters Barbara Banavige, Lorraine Demko and Doreen Lawrence. A graveside service will be held at East Cemetery on Tuesday, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m.
