James L. Nagy, born September 11, 1937, passed away on August 13, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born to Julius Nagy and Clara Pierce, and was raised in Wallingford, CT. He graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1955 and earned his bachelor's degree in 1959 from the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, now known as Missouri University of Science and Technology. He leaves behind four sons Jay, Jeff (Christine), Danny and David; eight grandchildren, Kelly, Max, Sarah, Jeff, Elizabeth, Danny, Amie, and Julie; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife Ruth. He thought of Ruth's daughter, Wendy Fredricksen, as his own daughter. He enjoyed vacationing with her, her husband Alan, and their children: Samantha, Amanda, Tucker and Julie, and attending their school and sporting events. Jim's family would like to thank the staff at LiveWell for their exceptional care and compassion. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Jim and Ruth Nagy to LiveWell, 1261 S. Main St, Plantsville, CT 06479 or online at Livewell.org
