Jamie Meagher

Jamie Dean Meagher, 56, Ellington, CT, passed away on October 3, 2025, just two days shy of his 57th birthday. Born on October 5, 1968, in Presque Isle, Maine, Jamie was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered for his quick-witted sense of humor, generous spirit, kind heart, and his willingness to help anyone in need, always the first to lend a hand and the last to expect anything in return. Jamie worked for 20 years at EVERSOURCE as a Service Mechanic, where he was known for his strong work ethic and camaraderie with his coworkers. He had many passions in life. Jamie was a proud member of the Windsor Locks Polish Club, where he found both friendship and a deep sense of community. He volunteered at annual charity events, membership picnics, and other club gatherings, always eager to contribute and lend a hand. He loved the freedom of the open road, often riding his Harley with the sun on his face and the wind in his hair. Jamie also loved fishing, though he was a dedicated catch-and-release fisherman who never ate what he caught. Whether surrounded by friends or striking up a conversation with a stranger, Jamie had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Loving to spend time with his family was so much a part of who he was. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Ward; sister, Robin Holmes and her husband, Timothy; brother, Josh Ward and his wife, Tina; nieces, Kalyn Holmes, Madison Holmes, and Skyla Helstrom, as well as his stepson, Tyler Cormier. He was predeceased by his father, William L. Ward. Jamie's warmth, generosity, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Per Jamie's request, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest at Portage Lake, which was his favorite place on Earth. The family respectfully requests privacy during this difficult time.
