John Nolan Obituary

John P. Nolan, 61, of Hamden passed away peacefully just after sunset on July 28th, 2025 at Connecticut Hospice. He was the beloved husband of LeeAnn Dalia Nolan and devoted father of Jack Nolan. John was born March 12th, 1964 in New Haven to the late Jack and Ann Gallogly Nolan. He was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School where he made many lifelong friends. John loved working at the Regional Water Authority for over 40 years before his retirement in 2024. He cut lawns from an early age alongside his father and continued to throughout his life as a part-time job with many longtime customers. John was an excellent cook, willing to try new recipes and inventing some of his own and always exquisite. He enjoyed drumming, drawing silly pictures, singing with friends, a cold Coors Banquet in the "Garage Cafe", Van Halen, Frank Zappa, The Who, M.A.S.H, Rockford Files, his Corvette, the Yankees, but most importantly time spent with his family. He loved traveling around the state & country to watch Jacks baseball games, family dinners and holiday open houses on Christmas & St. Patricks Day, trips with LeeAnn to Florida, Maine & the Caribbean. In addition to his wife LeeAnn and son Jack, he is survived by his sister Liz Nolan-Integlia; brother James Nolan; nieces & nephews James, Michael (Taylor) & Keira Integlia and Katherine, Patrick & Sean Nolan; many extended Nolan & Gallogly relatives, as well as his in-laws Jacquelyn Dalia, John & Joell Pine, their children John (Kendall) & Jenna Pine and his cats Zeb & FiFi. He was predeceased by his parents Jack & Ann Nolan and his father-in-law Carmen Dalia. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2:00-5:00 PM on SUNDAY August 3rd, at the East Haven Memorial Funeral Home, 425 Main Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for John on MONDAY August 4th at 10:00AM in St. Mary Church (St. John Bosco Parish) 731 Main St. Branford. Please meet directly at church. Burial in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Halfway Home Animal Rescue P.O. Box 712 North Haven, CT 06473. So sad to hear this news John and I worked together in the 90's we spent many breaks and lunches talking about our kids how proud he always was of Jack and always shared recipes and talked food - we would always be hungry by the end of the day and couldn't wait to cook the next t new recipe RIP John so truly sorry for your loss may your mnay memories sustain you
