Juan Pedraza Obituary

Juan "Tony" Pedraza, 59, of Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025. Tony was a kind and generous soul who was always ready to lend a helping hand-whether to his siblings, family, close friends, or even strangers who had fallen on hard times. He had a warm heart and a quick wit, and he never hesitated to offer guidance, especially to his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. A gifted chef, Tony found joy in cooking and sharing meals with others. He believed food was a way to bring people together, and his kitchen was often filled with laughter, conversation, and the delicious smells of his creations. He also had a deep love for nature and found peace in the outdoors. Tony is reunited in eternal rest with his beloved mother, Bernarda Rivera, and his brother Ramon "Luis" Figueroa. He leaves behind a loving family: his siblings Hector Figueroa, William Figueroa, Francisco Figueroa, Carmin Figueroa,, Maria Figueroa-Rosa, Margarita Figueroa, and Marilyn Figueroa; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
