Kevin Clarke Obituary

Kevin Jerome Clarke, 58 of Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital. Born on February 13, 1967, to Freddie Nathaniel Clarke and Linda Ann (Betts) Clarke in Hartford, CT. Kevin was a lifelong resident of Hartford. Attending Frank T. Simpson Waverly School, Vine Street School, West Middle School, Thomas J. Quirk Middle School, Hartford Public High School (Class of 1985), and Eastern CT State University. While attending HPHS (The Pub), Kevin was a four-year member of the Owls basketball team and a two-year member of the Owls football team, where he served proudly as Co-Captain of both teams. Besides his parents, Kevin leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Kolby Marie Melius-Clarke, and son, Tyler Antonius Melius (Kimberly); Verna Melius (mother of his children) all of Charlotte, NC. Sisters, Deborah Washington of Danville, VA, and Sharon Jackson (Marshall) of Bloomfield, CT. Brothers, Bryant Clarke of Windsor, CT, and Kyle Clarke of Hartford, CT. Dear to his heart were his grandchildren: Jonah Melius, Mei Lee Melius, Kasir Holloway, Bloom Melius, and Kenzi Melius, all of Charlotte, NC, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
