"Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather"
Louis Tarullo, 78, formerly of Middlebury, CT, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, September 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the Tidewell Hospice Care Center at Village on the Isle in Venice, FL. He was the devoted husband of Christine (Sheehan) Tarullo for over 42 years.
Born on February 13, 1947, in Waterbury, CT, Lou was the son of the late Tony and Angelina (Perugini) Tarullo. He attended Crosby High School and spent his career as a skilled machine tool maker. Lou worked for Waterbury Farrell Technologies in Cheshire, CT, and later joined Apex Machine Tool Co. in Farmington, CT. He spent many years at EDAC Technologies Corporation in Cheshire before retiring in 2015. Shortly after, he and Christine moved to Florida to enjoy their retirement together.
Lou will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. An avid cyclist, he biked six days a week with friends and often enjoyed their Tuesday morning breakfasts. He also found joy in hunting with his lifelong friend, William "Bill" Mariano. Lou and Christine were active members of the Rotonda Elks Lodge, where they enjoyed dancing and socializing with friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his beloved wife Christine, Lou is survived by his three daughters: Renee Brink and her husband Donald of Phoenix, Arizona; Christine Pruitt of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and Stephanie Toupin and her husband Robert of Oakham, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Megan Brink, Kimberlee Brink, Ronald Knox, Stephen Knox, Austin Pruitt, Mackenzie Toupin, and Benjamin Toupin, as well as six great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Thomas F. Sheehan Jr. and his wife Linda of Bonita Springs, Florida; Cathy Unger of Middlebury; Debra Sheehan of Waterbury; John "Tim" Sheehan and his wife Charlene of Toms River, New Jersey; and LouAnn Michaud and her husband Ron of Southbury. Lou will also be fondly remembered by his special cousins, Lewis Tarullo and his wife Linda of Thomaston and Laura DiVito and her husband Michael of Beacon Falls. He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lou was predeceased by his son-in-law Christopher Pruitt; his sisters-in-law Carol DeLeo and Elizabeth Zwolinski; his brother-in-law Allen Zwolinski; and his niece Melissa Neal Focareta.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Church, Midd-South Catholic, Middlebury Campus, 1263 West Street, Middlebury, CT. Anyone wishing to attend the Mass are asked to meet directly at the Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours for Louis will be held on Friday evening, October 17, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT.
