Lynn O'Brien Obituary
Lynn Marie O'Brien, a beacon of kindness and love, whose presence was a warm embrace to all who knew her, departed this world on June 28, 2025. Born on November 14, 1962, in the town of Cherry Valley, New York, Lynn's journey through life was one marked by an unwavering spirit of generosity and a boundless capacity for joy. She passed away in Manchester, CT, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and selflessness that will forever be cherished.
Lynn is survived by her mother, Eleanor Pearo, alongside her siblings, Ron Pearo, Lisa Moore, and Tammy Pearo. Her father, Chester Pearo, preceded her in death. Lynn's family grew to include her beloved children, Michele and Thomas O'Brien, daughter-in-law Chelsea, and she was blessed with the joy of three grandchildren, Everett, Eden and Graham. Lynn's final days were comforted by her best friend and caretaker, Pam Dellapenna, whose companionship was a source of great solace.
Professionally, Lynn was the friendly face that greeted you at your local eye doctor's office, where she served as a receptionist. Her warm smile and caring demeanor made every patient feel seen and valued.
Lynn's interests painted the picture of a woman who cherished life's simple pleasures. Time spent with her family was her greatest joy, especially with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. The outdoors called to her, and she found peace in the tranquility of the beach, where the rhythm of the waves matched the calm she carried within her. Described by those who knew her as kind, selfless, and loving, Lynn embodied the essence of these words in every interaction. She lived her life as if she were a living testament to the power of love and the strength of altruism. As a motivational speaker might say, Lynn's life reminds us of the words of Maya Angelou, "Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud." Lynn was that rainbow for many, leaving a spectrum of beautiful memories in her wake. Lynn O'Brien's story is not one of sorrow but a celebration of a life well-lived. Her spirit, a guiding light for all of us, teaches us to lead with love, and to leave the world a little brighter than we found it. Her legacy is a testament to the idea that the most profound impact we can have, is found in the kindness we share with others. Lynn's memory will be treasured, and her love felt always.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 7th, at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street in Manchester from 4-7 p.m. with a funeral home service immediately following.
