Westfield-Peter W. Sokolowski, 102, died Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Whatley, MA on February 22, 1922 to the late Alexander and Clementina (Chrzanoski) Sokolowski. He was a 1941 graduate of Westfield Trade High School. He was a WW-2 veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Normandy. He worked at Package Machinery in East Longmeadow and retired in 1984 after 34 years. He leaves his brother Raymond Sokolowski, nephew Ronald Skroczky and great nephews Todd and Ronald Skroczky. Military honors will be held in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, January 28, at 3 pm. I send my deepest sympathy to all those grieving over Pete Sokolowski`s passing. I have fond memories of my uncle Pete. He was a good man, sweet, and kind. He would always make people smile and laugh. He´d say something silly or tell a joke. He was a true gentleman. The world was a better place with him in it.
