Phyllis A "Toronto" Budreau

- Phyllis Anne Budreau, of this city, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on August 6, 2025, at Heritage Hall in Agawam. Born on February 6, 1933, in Medford, MA, to Lucia "Lucy" Maria Costanza Toronto and Francis Joseph Toronto, Phyllis was raised in the vibrant neighborhood of Beacon Hill. She carried her Bostonian pride throughout her life, sharing funny stories and her Italian traditions with all who knew her. Phyllis dedicated many years to public service at The City Hall in Westfield, supporting a multitude of administrators and mayors. Her final 25 years of work were spent at The Holyoke Soldiers Home, where she made a lasting impact. Her generosity extended beyond her career, as Phyllis was a long time volunteer for the Meals On Wheels program. She also crocheted hats for cancer patients at The Center for Cancer Care. Outside of her service, Phyllis found joy in all things creative. She loved crocheting, knitting, sewing, and exploring various crafts, often creating beautiful pieces for everyone she loved. Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roland "Jerry" Budreau; her sons Robert, Richard, and William Noltemy; her daughter-in-law, Tami Cornelius Budreau; and her siblings Francis Joseph and Marilyn Edna. She is survived by her son James Budreau and his wife Ashley; her daughters Debra and her husband, Damon Cartelli, Susanne Romani and her fiancé, Andrew Martin, and Lu Anne Budreau Pliska and her husband, Don; along with 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the calling hours on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 9 AM to 11 AM at Firtion-Adams funeral home in Westfield. A private burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Phyllis's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to helping others. She always found a way to make people laugh and never missed an opportunity to tell others how proud she was of her family.
