Ruby Belton-White

In Loving Memory of Ruby Belton-White October 10, 1949 – July 25, 2025 Ruby Belton-White, 75, of New Haven, Connecticut, entered eternal rest on July 25, 2025. Born on October 10, 1949, Ruby was a lifelong learner and woman of deep faith. Ruby was a longtime devoted member of the Church of Christ. She earned a Bachelor's in Sociology from Southern Connecticut State University (1977), an Associate in Science from Gateway Community College (2011), and her State of Connecticut Early Childhood License in 2015. Prior to her passing, she was continuing her education at Quinnipiac University to become a certified K–6 teacher. Ruby served the New Haven community as a substitute teacher and later as a paraprofessional at Barnard Environmental Science and Technology School. She was also an active member of the Sensible Women Initiative, Inc., always finding ways to give back. Ruby shared an unbreakable bond with her granddaughter, Ashley Warner, whom she lovingly helped and mentored. She is also survived by her grandchildren Malachi Warner and Amaya Morris; great-granddaughter Brooklyn Crenshaw; brother Michael Belton; and a host of extended treasured family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Ashante Warner, her parents, and several siblings. Ruby's legacy of faith, education, and love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched. A memorial service will be held on Friday August 8, 2025 at 11am at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT. Visitation from 10-11am.
