Ruth P. Chadwick

Ruth P Chadwick (aka Ruth Florian), 77, of Wallingford, CT, passed away peacefully at her home in the Johnson Apartments of Masonicare Health Center.
Born November 29, 1947 in Morristown, NJ. Wife of the late John Florian of 30 years. Lived in Morris Plains, NJ before moving to Cheshire, CT in 1965 and graduated from Cheshire High in 1966. Was active in the Jr. Women's Club in Cheshire and the PTO in the early years when her children were young. Moved to Wallingford, CT in 1987 and was retired from the New Haven Lawn Club and a bookkeeper/computer operator.
Ruthi or CT NANA, as we knew her by, enjoyed crafts and participated in the Holiday Craft Fair with her many holidays and all occasion cards that she made plus the stocking stuffers and mini gifts that were liked by many. After her retirement she became active at the Senior Center playing Maghong, Texas Holdem, Military Whist, and Set Back with her poker chips.
But most of all, Ruthi enjoyed her family. The joy of her three children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren gave her smiles and love. There was always a gleam in her eyes when she talked about the grandchildren. The close relationships she had with her friends either from years gone by or more present years always gave her many great memories and smiles.
In addition to her husband John, she was predeceased by her mother, Eunice Sexton, and her dearly loved aunt and uncle, Anne and Gordon Parsons.
Ruth leaves behind her children, Bobby Chadwick (Suzanne) of Cheshire, CT; Michael Chadwick (Beth) of Lancaster, PA, and DarciLynne Costanzo (Tony) of Alpharetta, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather and Melissa of Cheshire, CT, Peyton, Hannah (Nathan) and Cate of Lancaster, and Samantha Moelter (Mark) and great grandson Luke of Canton. She also leaves behind Mark and Jessica Costanzo of Boston and Georgia, and Alexander Dodge (Beata) and great grandsons Erik and Filip of Trondheim, Norway.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. Wallingford, CT, on Thursday, March 6th, from 5-7pm. Burial will be private in Evergreen Cemetery, Morristown, NJ.
