Shirley M. Jensen

Shirley M. Jensen (Stack), 89, of Enfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 3, 2025, with her family by her side. Born on December 14, 1935, in Holyoke, MA, Shirley was the cherished daughter of the late Michael and Mary (O'Reilly) Stack. Deeply proud of her Irish heritage, she embraced her roots and delighted in the Irish festivities of her hometown of Holyoke. Shirley dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a Registered Nurse and retiring from the NICU at Wesson Women's Hospital. Her compassion, strength, and commitment left a lasting impact on countless families. A devoted member of the Enfield community for over 60 years, Shirley was a longtime parishioner of St. Jeanne-Jugan Parish, where she worshipped faithfully with her family. She is survived by her loving children, Tammy Jensen of Enfield and Ralph Jensen, Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Somers. Shirley's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Benjamin Fournier and his wife, Ashley; Josh Fournier and his wife, Michelle; Jonathan Fournier and his wife, Lisa; Shannon Pelletier and her husband, Joshua; Zachary Vujs, and Isabella, and Michael Jensen. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Paige, Nathan, Addison, Jane, and Rowynn. She also leaves her lifelong, best friend, Marge Lampron. Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Ralph E. Jensen, Sr., in 2015, and her dear daughter, Lori Marie Dubois, in 2023. Her warmth, grace, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, CT 06082. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl St, Enfield on Friday, April 11, 2025 (Please meet at church).
