Steven Edward McCarthy

Steven Edward McCarthy, 61, of Enfield CT passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Born on July 24, 1963, in Holyoke, MA, Steven leaves behind his parents John & Roberta (Raccone) McCarthy of Enfield, his beloved fiancée, Jodie Jeffrey of Vernon, brother Gary McCarthy (Sonja) of East Granby, sister Linda Liucci (Tom) of Enfield, nephew Nico Liucci (Raquel) of Stamford, niece Lily McCarthy of North Providence, niece Alexa Liucci of Enfield. After graduating from Enfield High School in 1981, Steven joined the U.S. Army where he also served overseas in Germany. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney for many years and finished his career with SHP Management as a Superintendent. He was also a member of the Thompsonville Moose Lodge 1525. Steven was most passionate about his sports which included, Notre Dame, UCONN, Minnesota Vikings, L.A. Dodgers, and the Philadelphia Flyers. He also loved live music events meeting a wide group of friends, where you could see Steven and Jodie to be the first ones out on the dance floor. Steven was proud of his military service and his continued support of Veterans. He was a big personality with a heart of gold, loved everyone, and lived life to the fullest. Though Steven did not have children of his own, he loved being a part of his nephew and niece's lives, they loved their Uncle; he will truly be missed by his family and his many friends. His Family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 4-6pm at Browne's Funeral Home, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT. Funeral services to be announced.
