Theresa Jedynak

Theresa (Wilenski) Jedynak, 81, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025. She was born on August 12, 1943, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Bernard and Ann (Tyskiewicz) Wilenski. Theresa grew up in Hartford before settling in Enfield in 1966, where she made her home for nearly six decades. She began her career at Connecticut Bank and Trust in Hartford and later retired from Aetna Insurance. Deeply committed to her community, Theresa served for many years as Chairman of the Enfield Cultural Arts Commission and volunteered with the Little Sisters of the Poor. Together with her beloved husband, Joe, she was a devoted director of the Enfield Sabers II Drum and Bugle Corps, guiding and supporting young musicians with passion and pride. An ardent lover of the arts, Theresa was actively involved with the Wadsworth Atheneum's Festival of Trees, where she not only contributed her talents but also formed lasting friendships. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her dedication to community and culture, and her warm, welcoming nature. Theresa is survived by her daughter-in-law, Donna Jedynak; her grandson, Luke Jedynak; her cousin, Andrew Tyskiewicz and his wife Rosemary; her cousin Marilyn Johnson of East Haddam CT., and many other friends and extended family members. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 2020 and her son Matthew in 2019. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of All American Assisted Living of Enfield and to Compassus Hospice.
