Ursula Gulliksen Obituary

Ursula "Sandy" Gulliksen 83 of Newington passed away peacefully on Monday morning, August 11th, 2025. She was born June 22, 1942, daughter of the late Manuel and Genevieve Baptiste. She leaves behind a daughter Dawn Butler; son in law Daniel Butler and their children Ellie, Alexander, Benjamin and Norah Butler; grandson Robert Gulliksen; sister Eleanor Sullivan and a sister in law Karen Heldmann; along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter Lenore Gulliksen and son David Gulliksen Jr. along with 2 sisters, Elizabeth Jett and Barbara Goupil. Sandy grew up in West Hartford and spent 40 years in Cromwell raising her family. She was lovingly know as Aunt Sandy to the many children she took care of at her home daycare for over 15 years. She went on to work for Stop and Shop for over 20 years where she retired from. In 2010 she moved in with her daughter to help raise her 3 youngest grandchildren. A 3rd parent household was extra special and she will be greatly missed. There will be a Graveside Service held in Sandy's honor Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at11:00am in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
