Yolanda Jara Obituary

Yolanda Jara, 68, of Newington, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lima, Peru, on June 16, 1956, she was the daughter of Maria Perez of New Britain and the late Pacifico Jara. Yolanda is survived by her five children, Marianella Velasquez and her husband, Sebastian of Bloomfield, Louis Jara of Hartford, Veronica Burke and her husband, Michael of Windsor, and Stephanie Gonzalos of Newington; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and 8 siblings. She was predeceased by a son, Carlos Beslanga. Yolanda was an amazing mother who always gave unconditional love. She was born to be a mom and spread love to everyone she encountered. She was a woman of many trades, with a passion for a variety of hobbies. She was extremely crafty, loved cooking for others, and enjoyed gardening, where she showcased her remarkable green thumb. Additionally, she had a deep love for knitting and fishing. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 10-11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Yolanda, please visit our floral store.
