Yuet H. Wu

Yuet H. Wu of North Haven, CT passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 5 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She leaves behind her loving family: Daughter and her husband, Judy and Marc Shaw, Three sons – Ronald Wu, Edward Wu, Kenneth Wu, Daughter-in-law, Donna Wu, Five grown Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. Her large extended family also included many nieces and nephews. Yuet is predeceased by her late husband and a fourth son. Born in Hong Kong, Yuet lived an extraordinary, long full life. She came to the United States to start a new life with her husband. Through love, hard work and determination, she raised five children in New Haven and then North Haven. Yuet devoted her entire life supporting her family. Among her interests were her love of cooking, sewing, and gardening. Yuet also enjoyed working many years outside the home at US Surgical/Covidien Company in North Haven. In her later years, Yuet especially found joy being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. With admiration and smiles, she watched them grow, while sharing her cooking, stories and love. The treasured memories of her life will sustain and radiate within the hearts of those who knew her. The visiting hours will be Friday, August 15th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven. A parlor service will be conducted at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
