Dean Hansen Obituary

Dean A. Hansen, 89, of Good Hope, Illinois, passed away Saturday Aug. 10, 2024 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Illinois. He was born March 25, 1935 in LaHarpe, Illinois to Alvin & Grace Mohr Hansen; he married Joan Boyd on June 5, 1954. She preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2015. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Herche and infant son, Michael Dean Hansen. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Denise (Curtis) Hansen of Largo, Florida. He served in the US Army and was a longtime member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Macomb, IL. Services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday Aug. 17, 2024 at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Rev. Kelly Ingersoll officiating. Visitation will be Friday Aug. 16, from 4-6 PM at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Christian Church.
