Eula Morrow Obituary
Eula Mae Morrow, age 91 of Pittsfield, IL passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Liberty Village in Pittsfield surrounded by those who loved her dearly. She was born July 2, 1934, in Moberly, MO to Louis and Mary Ellen (Gardner) Dickerson. She married Kenneth Ray Morrow December 4, 1955, and to this union three children were born, Virgil Louis, Brian Ray, and Melissa Ann.
Eula graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1952 and attended Olivet Nazarene University. Eula was the last surviving charter member of the Pittsfield Nazarene Church where she served as secretary of the church board for nine years. She was also a Sunday School teacher and church pianist for many years. Eula was the executive secretary of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce from 1992 to 2000. During that time, she was a member of Pittsfield Rotary Club and was presented the Paul Harris Fellow award. She also worked for the Department of Human Services, University of Illinois Extension Services, and the North Pike District Library. Much of her life was spent working on the farm taking meals to the field, working on chores, and maintaining farm records. Eula's greatest joys were watching the hummingbirds, feeding the squirrels, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include daughter, Melissa Lenderman of Pittsfield, IL; daughter-in-law, Cindy Morrow of Martinsburg, IL; grandchildren, Sheena (Cory) Martin of Pittsfield, IL, Brandon (Erin) Morrow of Chapin, IL, Ashley (Zach) Lindsey of Chicago, IL, and Seth (Alyssa) Lenderman of Jacksonville, FL; great grandchildren, Rylee Martin, Kaylee Martin, Chase Morrow, Cooper Morrow, and Luke Lenderman; sister, Mary Collins; and her beloved fur baby, Addie.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Virgil Morrow and infant son Brian Morrow; brother, Charles Dickerson; and sister, Anita Gleckler.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL with visitation held prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Pittsfield West Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to be made to West Cemetery. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.
