Jackie Flockhart Obituary
Jackie A. Flockhart, 80 of Keokuk, IA passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.
She was born January 27, 1945 in Dyersville, IA the daughter of James and Nellie Kampe Flockhart. Jackie graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1963.
Over the years, Jackie worked for several local businesses, including Sheller Globe, Jacks, and the Christian Book Store. Beyond her professional work, she took on one of the most meaningful roles in her life-serving as the devoted caregiver for her parents.
Jackie was a faithful and active member of St. John's Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life and shaped everything she did.
Family meant everything to Jackie. She cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially traveling and making memories together. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed reading Christian books and watching faith-based programs on television, continually seeking to grow in her understanding and love for the Lord.
She is survived by her twin brother, James Flockhart (Suzie) of Keokuk, two nephews, Todd Flockhart (Michele) of Keokuk and Scott Gibson (Minette) of Keokuk, one niece, Lisa Gibson of Keokuk, She is also survived by four great-nephews, Justin Flockhart (Leah), Jared Flockhart, Travis Gibson and Lance Gibson, two great-nieces, Britany Flockhart and Carlee Hayes (Derek) and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Bonnie Gibson and one great-nephew, Corey Gibson.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Friday, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Keokuk with Reverend Gayle Pope officiating. Burial will in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
Visitation was held prior to the service, from 9-10 a.m., Friday at the church with family meeting with friends at that time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church or Keokuk Animal Shelter.
The family of Jackie would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Montrose Healthcare Center for the love and care they gave to Jackie.
