Jeremiah Dean Engle, 28, of Monroe City, MO, passed away at 6:47 AM, Saturday, May 3, 2025, as a result of an automobile accident in Quincy, IL. A Memorial Service will be at 4:20 PM, Friday, May 9, 2025, at James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Josh Chambers will officiate. Friends and Family are invited to Jeremiah's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 3:00 PM to 4:20 PM, Friday, at the funeral home. Jeremiah was born December 26, 1996, in Hannibal, MO to Jennifer C. Engle Smith. Survivors include his parents, Ron and Jennifer Smith of Monroe City, MO; father, Earl D. Shobe Jr. (Joymii); two brothers, Austin Engle (Elisa) of Utah, and Grayson Smith of Monroe City, MO; one sister, Addiline Smith of Monroe City, MO; grandparents, Michael and Venita Engle of Maywood, MO; grandmother, Beverly McCutcheon; three uncles, Michael Engle Jr. (Lori), Eric Engle (Holly), and Shaun Engle; three aunts, Dorina Heiden (Jeremy), Melissa Cogdal (Don), and Maegan Ludwig (Jared); nephew, Nolan Engle; and numerous cousins. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Lloyd and Lillian Engle; grandfather, Don McCutcheon; and cousins, Steffini Wilkins, Ean Reinold, and Dakota Cogdal. Jeremiah worked on the production line at General Mills. Jeremiah enjoyed playing video games, listening to rap music, and making TikTok videos. Jeremiah was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and WWE star Roman Reigns. In his younger years, Jeremiah played football and baseball and was a stat expert. Most of all, Jeremiah enjoyed recreational relaxation...A LOT. Jeremiah will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial contributions may be made to James O'Donnell Funeral Home to assist with expenses. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Engle, Matt Engle, Wesley Engle, Blake Hetzler, Trevor Heiden, Skylar Engle.
