Matthew Huling Obituary

Matthew Eugene Huling, 43, of Carthage, passed away at home. Matthew was born June 9, 1982, the son of Kenneth Eugene and Julie May (Patrick) Huling in Carthage. He graduated from Carthage High School in 2001. Matthew had worked for J and R Tire in Carthage, Sharkey Transportation in Quincy and had served as the Carthage Township Cemetery sexton. Matthew is survived by four children, Ambria, Austin, Everly and Ford Huling; parents, Kenneth and Julie Huling of Carthage; siblings, Lucas (Katy) Huling of Carthage and Penny (Bobbi) Huling of Macomb; and niece and nephew, Parker and Ty Huling. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth J. and Emma Lee (Peterson) Huling and Gene and Joy (Feagans) Patrick. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the First Christian Church in Carthage. Family will meet friends from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the Harmony Township Cemetery near Bentley. Memorials may be directed to the family of Matthew Huling. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements. To send flowers to the family, please visit our floral store.
