Raegan Pellerin Obituary
Raegan L. Pellerin, 16, of Okinawa, Japan passed away February 10, 2025. She was born June 24, 2008 in Brandon, FL to Jason P. and Erica L. (Rutledge) Pellerin.
She is survived by her parents and brother Wyatt Robert Swiderski Pellerin of Okinawa, Japan; grandparents, Craig and Margo Rutledge of Adair, IL; Theresa and Scott Wisslead of Macomb, IL; two uncles, Jeremy (Lauran) Rutledge of Adair, IL; Wilber Anderson of Macomb, IL; two aunts, Lacie (Kyle) Walters of Litchfield, AZ; and Anna Fowler of Macomb, IL.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather Walter Swiderski, great-grandparents Robert and Patricia Rutledge, Florence and Frank Shippy and Raymond Barnes, great aunt, Jane Pittman, great uncles, Kenneth Rutledge and John Pittman, cousin, Lana Rutledge.
Raegan was blessed to have lived in Florida where she was born, California (3 times), Virginia (twice), Illinois (3 times), Japan (twice), Kansas and North Carolina. Multiple moves with multiple friends all over the world. The constant movement was difficult, but it made her one of the most resilient and strongest people we know.
She loved doing her makeup and we were forever waiting for her to get ready, but we were never late. Her favorite color was pink. She loved Universal Studios (visited both California and Osaka, Japan), roller coasters (the bigger the better and was not afraid to ride by herself), eating sweets, drinking lemonade and taking naps. She loved a good (or bad) horror movie. Raegan also enjoyed riding around with her friends and brother singing as loud as they could. She was the girliest of girls, but with sports she was a complete savage. She could be prim and proper but could burp like a grown man (and thought it was hilarious).
Reagan loved to compete and was quite the athlete. She played Soccer for the Okinawa Diplomats, Okinawa Elite, Sporting California, European Football Academy Okinawa, Mission Vista High School (California), Kadena High School Okinawa, Japan. Messi was her "forever GOAT". She also trained in Taekwondo; Wrestled for Kadena High School in Okinawa, Japan; Ran Track for Woodbridge Middle School, Virginia; Ran Cross Country for Kadena High School, Okinawa, Japan; Swam for the Okinawa Dolphins Swim Team; Ran multiple Spartan Races. Raegan was a Certified Scuba Diver with multiple dives in Okinawa, Japan. Raegan enjoyed surfing and riding dirt bikes in California and skiing and snowboarding in California, Japan, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Missouri.
She was the most loyal, loving friend you could ask for. She would protect her people to the end. She loved her family and all her cousins. She loved to travel (or as she called it, jet setting). She loved her dogs Winston and Sophie (and kind of Emma). She was the best daughter, sister, cousin, granddaughter, niece and friend that anyone could ask for. She loved with her whole heart.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Sporting USA-San Diego or to Kadena High School Student Activity Fund. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
