Ronald Bricker Obituary
Ronald Charles Bricker, 83, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away on March 26, 2025, at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born on March 8, 1942, in Macomb, to Charles Donald Bricker and Grace Mae (Hulick) Bricker.
Ronald was a lifelong resident of Emmet Township in McDonough County and graduated from Macomb High School in 1960. During his high school years, he was an active member of the band and FFA. He was also a proud charter member of the Lamoine Trails Saddle Club.
After completing his apprenticeship as a tool and die maker at Sheaffer Pen in Ft. Madison, IA, Ronald went on to have a successful career at several companies, including Method in Carthage and Golden International Harvester in Canton, Sheaffer Pen, Shelor Mobil Home in Colchester, and Thermos in Macomb.
A faithful member of Faith Fellowship Church in Tennessee, IL, Ronald also served as a lay minister and dedicated 35 years to teaching Sunday School at the Elms Nursing Home.
Outside of work, Ronald had many passions, including duck hunting, fishing, farming, and karate. He was an avid member of a duck hunting club in Lomax, IL. He also loved playing music and performed as a singer and saxophonist in the Country Gold band.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Connie McKamy Bricker; his children, Mark Charles (Alison Ann) Bricker of Shamong, NJ, Donna Mae Vanwinkle of Clarksville, TN, and Jason Kempher of Springfield, IL; his grandchildren, Michael Allyn (Jessica) Vanwinkle of Nashville, TN, Ryan Charles (Alexis Dunn) Bricker of Eastampton, NJ, Alexandra Lauren (Andrew) Holt of Medford, NJ, and Russell Yates (Emily) McLaughlin of Waukegan, IL; and his great-grandchildren, James Andrew Holt and Rowan Shepard Holt. He was preceded in death by his son, Rick McLaughlin. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Jean (James) Forman of Columbus, IN.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Fieldhouse in Macomb, Illinois. The address is 254 South Collins Ave (next to Pepsi).
