Sara Elizabeth Adams

Sara E. Adams, age 36, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 11:40 pm Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Hannibal, MO. The family will host a private service at a later date with close family and friends. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Sara was born on May 9, 1989, in Sonora, California the daughter of Jerry and Yasmin (Samim) McArthur. Sara graduated from Hannibal High School in the class of 2007. Professionally Sara worked in hospitality at a local hotel. Sara brought a bright spirit and a warm sense of humor into the world that touched everyone who knew her. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a friend. Sara grew up surrounded by family and love. Her early years were full of energy, laughter, and athletic talent. She played many sports, practiced gymnastics, and was known for her quick wit and infectious laugh. She had a way of lighting up a room and making people smile, often when they needed it most. Sara was the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Izzy and Ella, and one son, Nicholas, who were her greatest joy. She is also survived by her brothers Nick and Evan McArthur, and her sister Skylar Atkins, along with many step-parents, loving cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who will always hold her close in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Yasmin (Samim) Evans, and Jerry McArthur. Though her journey was not without hardship, Sara will be remembered for the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the joy she brought to those around her.
