Terry C. Girardin

Terry C. Girardin, age 78, of Quincy, died on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 7:10 p.m. in Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. Terry was born on June 13, 1947 in Quincy, a daughter of Russell B. and Clare Evelyn Hudelson Thiele. On November 24, 1979 she married Lee Girardin in Chambersburg, IL. He survives. Terry was a 1965 graduate of Perry High School. Terry was employed as a steel purchaser by Gardner Denver, where she was known as "The Woman of Steel". She held that position for 30 years until her retirement. After she retired from Gardner Denver, she worked at Kay's Merchandise Mart until its closure. Terry was a member of the DAR and a lifetime member of the NRA. In her spare time, she was a voracious reader who especially enjoyed murder mysteries and the novels of Nora Roberts and Danielle Steel. In addition to her husband, survivors include two stepchildren: Michelle (Dan) Ebbing of Grafton, IL and Mitchell Girardin of Fowler, IL; six grandchildren: Jessica (Matt) Loos of Quincy; Justin (Brooke) Ebbing of Quincy; Blake Ebbing of Kansas City, MO; Brady Ebbing of Grafton, IL; Luke Girardin of Fowler, IL; and Alex Girardin of Fowler, IL; five great-grandchildren: Madison, Devyn, and Tyson Loos and Grayson and Emma Ebbing; a sister, Carol Curry of Bowling Green, MO; and four nephews: Rick Curry of Katy, TX; David (Tara) Curry of Troy, MO; Brian Mountain of Perry, IL; and Darin (Nikki) Mountain of Perry, IL. Terry was preceded in death by her parents; a stepson, Michael "Mike" Girardin; a sister, Vikki Mountain; and a nephew, Mike Mountain. Visitation: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Rev.
