Christopher D. Borrowman

KINDERHOOK, Ill. -- Christopher D. Borrowman, 35, of Kinderhook, passed away Sunday (May 3, 2015) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born April 25, 1980, in Pittsfield, to Duane and Brenda Harrison Borrowman, and they survive.

Chris graduated from West Pike High School in 1999. In the past he worked for the Guthrie Farms and the Keller Farms then went to LSSD Trucking and recently was a custom applicator for Smith-Ag.

He enjoyed farming, combining and working with cattle, and he was a true farmer at heart. He spent a lot of his free time watching country music and farming videos, and he loved riding his four-wheeler, going to auctions and truck and tractor pulls. Most of all he was a wonderful father and loved the time he spent with his children and family.

He is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Ervin and Roberta Borrowman of Kinderhook; a son, Jonathan Borrowman, and a daughter, Lilly Marie Borrowman, of Palmyra, Mo.; a brother, Jared (April) Borrowman of Kinderhook; and a sister, Heather (J.D.) Briscoe of Chillicothe, Mo. Nieces and nephews surviving are Riley Lawson, Kayden Lawson, Jaden Briscoe and Brea Rose Briscoe. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harvey and Bessie Harrison and great-grandparents, Dorothy and Jr. Kingery and Earl and Cuma Borrowman.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. Monday, May 11, at the Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, with J.D. Briscoe officiating. Burial will be in Pittsfield West Cemetery following the service.

VISITATION: Monday, May 11, from noon until time of services at the funeral home.
