Constance "Connie" Lee Bryson, age 87, of Quincy, Il, went to her forever Heavenly Home and was received into the arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, on December 21, 2024, at 2:20am at Timber Point Health Care Center in Camp Point, Illinois. While Connie was there for only 4 months, the caring staff loved her like family and took wonderful care of her. She previously resided with her husband, Howard, at Adams Pointe Assistant Living for about 6 years. They also were her family and treated her very special.
Connie was born February 18, 1937, in Quincy, Il, the only child of Roger Orson and Margaret Ellen Hibbard. She graduated from Payson Seymour High School in 1955. She attended Lincoln Christian College and also taught trumpet lessons at H & H Spurrier Music Store in Quincy, Il. She married the love of her life, Howard Gilbert Bryson, on June 16, 1958, and celebrated 65 years together in June 2023. Howard passed away on November 19, 2023.
Connie was a very skilled seamstress and worked from her home many years, sewing and doing alterations for her many customers. She was very creative and had a craft business, "Connie's Cone Corner & Crafts" for 25 years. She was very involved in ministries at Madison Park Christian Church, Payson Road Christian Church, and The Crossing in Quincy, Il. She led "The Encouragers Card Ministry" at The Crossing for over 20 years.
Connie was a loving, fun, and wonderful Mom to Holly, Merry, and Brett. She would do anything for them to see them succeed. She was their biggest cheerleader. Her and Howard (Dad) loved to take the kids on various summer camping trips and loved to camp everywhere in Colorado. Connie and Howard loved traveling together to Branson, MO, Alaska, and Israel. They loved going anywhere with gorgeous scenery.
Connie loved reading her Bible and had a close relationship with Jesus, her Savior. She also loved music. She played the trumpet, accordion, piano and loved singing in the choir. She loved hosting Christmas parties and family celebrations. She was a great role model for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved them all so much and always spoiled them. Her face just lit up with the biggest smile when they visited her and gave her hugs.
Connie is survived by her three children: Holly (John) Miller, of Quincy, Merry (Michael) Lung of Montgomery, TX, and Brett (Susie) Bryson of Quincy; 12 Grandchildren: Jayme (Roy) Ellis, Sara(Kris) Oliver, Lori Sharp, Katelyn(Tyler) Morris, Megan(Chris) Thornton, Emily(Sam) Chisamore, Chevie(Brandyn) Wnukowski, Logan Bryson, Jeff Lung, Leslie(Nick) Landry, Nick(Amanda) Tappe, Luke Tappe, and 21 Great Grandchildren, Sister–n-law, Diana(Richard) Minnick of Burton, Il, and their family.

Before I was a believer the first time I attended Payson Road Church Connie greeted me and learned my name. When I returned the next week she remembered it. It had an impact that will never be forgotten. She watered seeds others had planted. I continued attending and became a follower of Christ. She had a part in that by her kindness, sincerity and simply by remembering my name. Thank you Connie for your faithfulness.
