He also loved attending the Oblong, IL Antique Engine and Tractor Show every August, enjoying weekly summer concerts in Madison Park, and participating in Civil War reenactments. A few of David's guilty pleasures in life were the Tiramisu restaurant, pecan rolls from Underbrinks, and Starbucks coffee. In his spare time, he reveled in hunting with his brothers, golfing, and playing chess. David was a true family man and was very passionate about being the best grandpa he could be.
David was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Quincy. He truly lived out his faith and enjoyed helping people through the church.
