Ina Hatcher Obituary

SHELBINA, Mo. -- Ina Mae "Tiny" Hatcher, 93, of Shelbina, died at 7:56 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 18, 2008) in Hannibal Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1914, in Shelbina, a daughter of Hurley Otis and Elizabeth Dee Gilchrist Thomas. On May 26, 1933, she married Guymon Hatcher in Shelbina. He died Oct. 4, 1986. Tiny was a member of Shelbina Christian Church, Shelbina Eastern Star and the Kings Daughters Kings Men Sunday school class. She graduated from Shelbina High School in 1933. She enjoyed visiting at the senior citizens center with her family and friends. Tiny is survived by three children, Gene Hatcher and his wife, Pat, of Shelbina, Ina Hoover of Monroe City and Nina Davis and her husband, Jerry, of Palmyra; nine grandchildren, Karen Bowen and her husband Paul, Curt Hatcher and his wife, Ann, Greg Hatcher and his wife, Barb, Kay Sutter and her husband, Richard, Kris Sutter and her husband, Jim, Kimberly Wolff, Kevin Miles and his wife, Jennifer, Brant Hoover and Robert Hoover and his wife, Melody; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three stepgranddaughters, Laura Cordray and her husband, Arlo, Annette Hudnall and her husband, Wray, and Kimberly Tuley and her husband, Walter; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Elnora Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; and two sisters. SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday in the Shelbina First Christian Church, with the Rev. Jim Bilbro conducting. Burial in Shelbina Cemetery. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. MEMORIALS: Shelbina First Christian Church or Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch. ARRANGEMENTS: Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Condolences may be expressed online at www.whig.com.
