Kevin David Krause

1988 - 2018

Kevin David Krause, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, ended his life on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in Chandler, Ariz.

Kevin was born July 31, 1988, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, the adored son of Jon B. Krause and Kristine Sass Perrine and husband, Shawn.

He graduated Quincy Senior High School in June 2006. At age 17 he enlisted and served the United States, including two tours of duty in Iraq, earning an honorable discharge as lance corporal, before becoming a father to his sons, Julian and Gabriel, and daughter, Camilla "Millie Bear." Kevin worked faithfully for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center as a laundry machine operator while effected with PTSD.

Kevin passionately followed the Minnesota Vikings, loved gaming, and always made himself available to those in need. Kevin stayed close to his family, and was exceptionally loved by children, while parents gave him a term of endearment as "the Baby Whisperer," and of course by being the loving father he was.

Kevin had a gentle soul and will be missed by all. John 11:35 Jesus wept.

In addition to his parents and children, survivors include his sisters, Emily and Isabelle Krause; grandmothers, Ann Sass, Cheryl Cunningham and Jewel Rinne; aunts and uncles, Nam, Kim, Beth, Eric, Viva, David, Jennifer, Bubby, Betty, Ruth, Joshua, Joanna, John, Tina and Thomas; cousins, Chris, Jenna, Megan, Kayla, Samantha, Jacob, Michelle, Susannah, Richard, Scott, Andrew, Kaylee, Madelyn, Olivia, Thomas, Keagen, Kendall, Nedra, Jesse and Jamie; and niece, Lucy.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kay Buffington, Donald Krause and Richard Sass.

SERVICES: 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
