Kyle Anthony Bigelow, 26, of Warsaw, passed away suddenly at 7:50 p.m., on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Triplett Funeral Home in Mendon, with a visitation taking place from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00. Pastor John Breshears will officiate. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery north of Lima.
Friends and family are invited to a "Kyle Style" Celebration of Life at The Outskirts in Loraine at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 14.
Kyle was born on May 23, 1996, in Quincy, Illinois, to Lee and Jennifer Bigelow. He was a graduate of Unity High School, class of 2015, and he worked as a mower and landscaper for Emerick Outdoor Maintenance.
Kyle loved to fish and hunt and throw bags with his team, "Outskirts". Kyle enjoyed spending time with his nephew, Waylon, his girlfriend, Makenna, and his family and friends.
Kyle was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Brackensick, and grandfather, Kenneth Bigelow.
He is survived by his loving parents, his sisters, Ashley and Andrea; grandfather Richard Brackensick, of Sutter, Illinois; and Grandmother Karla Long, of Warsaw, Illinois; his girlfriend Makenna Durk; nephews, Waylon, Wyatt, and Braxton; and many aunts and uncles and cousins.
Kyle was the life of every party, every float trip, every fishing trip, every road trip. He made everyone smile. Kyle also had a deep and philosophical side. He was interested in world events, politics, and spirituality. Kyle loved to learn (not from books) and experiment with what he learned. He raised cows and chickens.
Most of all, Kyle had a deep sense of how limited our time is with friends and family, and he made the most of it. Kyle often said, "C'mon let's do something'!
Pallbearers will be Aaron Ancell, Adam Campbell, Dustin Davis, Josh Lowman, Kaleb Reiter, Lane O'Donnell, Garret Weirather, and Danny Valentine.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kyle's nephews' college fund.
