Lisetta B. White, age 96, of Quincy, died on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10:00 am in Blessing Hospital.
She was born on October 14, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of Jesse and Irene Bennett. She married James E. "Jim" White on August 20, 1950, in the Dunlap Presbyterian Church, in Dunlap, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2017.
Lisetta grew up in the Peoria area and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1946. She attended Western Illinois University and Illinois State University. She taught all eight grades in a one-room school near Dunlap for three years, and then two years in Guam Elementary Schools, before she became a homemaker and raising her four sons and twin daughters.
After moving to Quincy in 1972, Lisetta became a member of the Atlantis Study Club, Blessing Volunteers in Partnership, the Women's City Club and the Quincy Country Club.
Survivors include three sons, Rodney White of Peoria, IL, Craig (Nancy) White of Highland Park, IL, and Jeff (Bobbe) White of Quincy; twin daughters, Judy (Kent) Bainter of Quincy, and Laurie (Doug) Brinkman of Coatsburg, IL; ten grandchildren, Kurt (Lisa), Krista (Josh), Rachael, Erika (Alex), Korey (Spencer), Nick (Jenna), Halie (Luke), Hayden (Jenny), Dylan (Jazmine), and Kara (Rob); 15 great-grandchildren, Preston, Brian, Trey, Logan, Brayden, Emma, Remi, James, Hannah, Waylon, Wrenley, Riley, Palmer, Brock and Claire; one niece, Melissa Olken and her family; and three nephews, John (Eileen), Todd, and David (Cindi) and their families.
In addition to her beloved husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by a son, Keith White, a brother, Franklin Bennett, and a sister, Mary (Bill) Hendrix.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Prospect Municipal Cemetery in Dunlap, Illinois.

Lisetta always had a smile and a kind word. Loved visiting with her when she came into the bank before Jim retired. I know you will all miss her very much.
