Margie M. Boyd, age 88, of Quincy, died Monday, May 26, 2025, in Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living.
Margie was born June 30, 1936, in Steffenville, Missouri, the daughter of C. Lester and Hazel Bevill Schieferdecker.
Margie was a 1954 graduate of Quincy Senior High School, and she attended Gem City Business College. She worked in accounts receivable at Quincy Medical Group for 27 years, and she retired as manager of the department in 1998. She had been a crossing guard since 2008. Margie was a lifetime member of Bethel Assembly of God.
Survivors include: two sons: Roger (Sheila) Hastings of Clayton, NC; and Todd (Arnetta) Hastings of Quincy, IL; seven grandchildren: Tami and Toni Hastings, both of Quincy; Tiffany Hastings of Clayton, NC; James Hastings of Clayton, NC; Zachary Hastings of Tulsa, OK; Andrea Hastings of Xinning, China; and Chase (Victoria) Hastings of Mansfield, MO; four great-grandchildren: Destiny Koehler and Isaac Courtois, Hannah, and Lily, Daisy, Autumn, Willem, and Weston Hastings; numerous great great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Lunt of Keokuk, IA.
Margie was preceded in death by three husbands: Dale Hastings, Charles Rich, and Charles Boyd; a son, Rick Hastings; her brother, Larry Schieferdecker; and her parents.
Visitation: 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Services: 10:00 am, Friday, May 30, 2025, at Bethel Assembly of God, with Rev. Todd Hastings officiating. Burial to follow in Quincy Memorial Park.

She was simply one of the most kind hearted people I ever met. I look at her as a mentor in so many ways, although she was my boss at QMD- she taught me so much more than accounts receivable- she taught the values of what one human being should expect and impart on another as we do not judge as we all come from creation of God- words can not express the gratitude I have from knowing you- you were truly a gift from God - always remember the great times we had Margie !
