Nancy Marie Aden, 85, of Golden, Illinois, passed away at 5:38 am on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Golden Good Shepherd Home.
Nancy was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 16, 1937, to James and Gladys (Newlund) Fry.
She attended Brown County Highschool and after her graduation, Nancy attended Gem City Business College.
She married Gene Aden in Hersman, Illinois on June 10, 1962, and together they raised three children. Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for Chad Pasley CPA and was an active member of her community. Nancy played the piano and was a member of Trinity Lutheran's "Hand Bell Choir", she loved to sew, quilt and she enjoyed decorating. She and Gene used to love square dancing and were members of the Q-City Squares." She was also a member of the ladies' group, Chatton Home Extension.
Nancy loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Mark Aden of La Prairie, and David Aden of Golden; daughter Karen (Matthew) Hull of Clayton, and grandchildren, James, Audrey, Dylan, Kaleigh, Marcus, Jade, Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Josie, Lane, Leo, Kash, and Crew; brother Donald (Carolyn) Fry of Stronghurst, Illinois; sisters Sue Lane of Farmington, and Martha Pooley, of Edwardsville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, and 2 brothers-in-law.
There will be a Funeral Service for Nancy at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden. Pastor Tom Graves will officiate. Interment at Golden Memorial Gardens will take place immediately following the service.
A visitation for Nancy will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Triplett Funeral Homes in Golden.
Memorials in Nancy's name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden.
