Robin Ruzicka

PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- Robin Ruzicka, 55, of rural Pittsfield, died Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2012) in Blessing Hospital, Quincy.

Robin was born March 4, 1957, in Wood River, a daughter of Claude and Ora Morton Rains. She married Jeff Ruzicka on Sept. 4, 1993, in Scottsbluff, Neb. He survives.

Robin attended East Alton High School in Wood River and was on the Alton-Wood River Oilerettes pom squad. She later graduated from Pittsfield High School.

She worked for A.C. Humko Corporation as a secretary until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, long walks on the beach, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Jeff, Robin is survived by her stepfather, George Morton; her children, Donald McKee of Woodstock, Ga., John McKee of Florissant, Mo., Evan (Natasha) Roderick of Fort Benning, Ga., Danielle Ruzicka of North Pole, Alaska, and William Ruzicka of Jackson, Mich.; two grandchildren, Chloe McKee and Jack McKee; a brother, David (Becky) Rains; two sisters, Claudia (Terry) Bonds and Deanna (Andy) Plantz; sister in-law, Peg Neese and husband, Lyle Hart; and brothers-in-law, Ivan (Valerie) Chappell, James (Laurie) Ruzicka, Tim (Jodi) Ruzicka and Chris (Melanie) Ruzicka.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; a sister, Vicki Chappell; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William E. and Patricia Ruzicka; and a brother-in-law, John Ruzicka.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, in the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, with Ivan Chappell and Robert Ring presiding.
