Teresa Lynn Schroder, age 62, of Quincy died on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 5:21 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. Teri was born on the first day of Spring, March 20, 1959 in Quincy. She is a daughter of Donald Nutt and Anita (Twyman) Woods. She married Jay Schroder on August 31, 1974 in Quincy and he survives.
Teri worked at Comcast Cable for 25 years until her retirement, and she continued to have a special place in her heart for the "cable girls". Since 2013, Teri has fought a long courageous battle with cancer.
Teri enjoyed playing BINGO and traveling, especially to Las Vegas, NV. She loved spending time with her friends and shopping with her daughter. The most important thing to Teri was her family, especially her grandchildren and her dogs, Bella and Brea. Teri had a heart-of-gold and she loved helping people. She definitely earned the nickname, "Mother Teresa".
In addition to her husband, survivors include her two children, Jaime Schroder of Quincy; Amber Venvertloh and her husband Jason, also of Quincy.
Four grandchildren, Kaylee Hiland of WI; Sadie, Georgia and Everly Venvertloh of Quincy; two great-grandchildren, Leah and Leo Yocum of WI.
Three siblings, Dawn Oberdahlhoff of Quincy; Kevin Nutt and his wife Becky of Mendon and Carrie Weppler and her husband Matt of Quincy. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Teri was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jason Schroder.
