Wilma Nicloy Obituary

Wilma Irene Nicloy, 87, of 418 Washington, Quincy, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 7, 2012) in the Sunset Home.

Wilma was born Jan. 12, 1925, in New Canton, a daughter of James Robert and Minnie Mae Barley Easley. She married Charles D. Stoner on Oct. 27, 1945, in Junction City, Kan. He died Feb. 9, 1962. On March 1, 1975, she married George J. Nicloy in Quincy. He died Sept. 21, 1993.

Wilma was a 1942 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1946 graduate of Blessing Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Blessing Hospital from 1946-1973. She then worked at Quincy Clinic until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Blessing Hospital Alumnae.

Survivors include five children, James T. (Linda) Stoner of Quincy, Harlan D. (Marcia) Stoner of Decatur, Larry E. (Sharon) Stoner of Mount Holly, N.C., Debra D. Harness of Quincy, and Julie A. (William) Allison of Quincy; three stepchildren, Roger (Mary) Nicloy of Quincy, Jeannine (James) Orr of Quincy, and Nancy Godwin of Ashland; grandchildren, Dan J. Stoner of Quincy, Steven Stoner of St. Louis, Michelle R. Hofacker of Alaska, Sheila Lecroy of Shelby, N.C., Rebecca Lee Harmon of Payson, Brian Craig Harness of Payson, Angela Kay Ware of Quincy, Jennifer Smith of Quincy; four stepgrandchildren, Russ and Mike Nicloy of Waukesha, Wis., Susan Godwin of Salt Lake City, and Sara Godwin of Ozark, Mo.; 24 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Rebecca Claire Winn of Mount Vernon.

In addition to her husbands, Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, John Stoner; a brother, Robert J. Easley; a sister, Rosemary Havens; and a son-in-law, Austin Harness.

SERVICES: 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Kingston (Ill.) Cemetery with Pastor Jason Moncofsky conducting.

VISITATION: Visitation will be private.

MEMORIALS: Kingston Cemetery Association or James Cary Cancer Center in Hannibal, Mo.

My sympathy goes out to all of her family and extended family. Her roots must have branched out far and wide. How many could I know from 1 persons family tree? I extend Gods loving care and comfort to all of you and may he wrap his loving arms around you'all at this time of need. Jim-Linda and boys---Roger and Mary---Jim and Jeannine.
