Wyatt William Young, 44, of Carthage, passed away at 1:09 PM, Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
Wyatt was born April 30, 1976, the son of Brent and Jo Ellen (Carson) Young in Carthage, Illinois. Wyatt graduated from Carthage High School in 1994. He went on to attend John Wood Community College and Western Illinois University. Wyatt earned a scholarship and played baseball for both schools. He graduated with a BA in Supply Chain Management from Western Illinois University. Wyatt worked at Case in Burlington, Iowa for 15 years as a Logistics Engineer before heading to Florida to work for Bio-Stem Technology. He had just returned from Florida to resume his career with Case. Wyatt loved coaching and filled this passion coaching baseball and basketball at Illini West High School, and Carthage Jr. High Bluegirl's softball with his sister. He also enjoyed watching his nieces play basketball. Wyatt's love for the outdoors and his Chocolate Labs, Pitch and Catch was a central point in his life. Wyatt loved hunting, especially waterfowl hunting, and fishing. He also loved mushroom hunting on the islands on the Mississippi. Most importantly, Wyatt enjoyed these pursuits most when accompanied by his father.
Wyatt is survived by his father, Brent Young, of Carthage, grandmother, Doris Carson of Carthage, three siblings, Traci (Mark) Harrell, of Carthage, Parrish (Brenda) Young of Carthage, and Annette Young Davila, of Gulf Shores, Alabama; nephews Michael (Maggie) Harrell, Daniel Harrell and Chris Davila, nieces Rylie and Megan Harrell, and Alyssa Young; great nieces Madison, Mya and Macy Harrell and great nephews, Beau Davila, Ayden Sitzmore and Kyen Mayes.
Wyatt was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Ellen Young, grandfather, Carl Carson and grandparents, William and Goldie Young; twin nephews, Devin Lee and Drew Carl Harrell.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday evening, March 14, 2021, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with family present. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM, at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Memorials may be directed to Jett Brown Memorial Field or Delta Waterfowl. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.

What a great guy who will be missed by so many . This is just so sad. Although we never in person,we did communicate about Cooper many times. He sure had a love for his boys, pitch,catch, and Cooper. Deepest
