Anna Beth Redmon, 96, of Searcy, Ark., completed her earthly journey on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023. She was born on April 18, 1927, in West Point, Ark., to Frank F. and Anna May Hinson Feltrop. She met and married Vernon Leon Redmon and to their union was born one son, Gerald Jerry Redmon, and one daughter, Frances Ann Redmon.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her children; and one sister, Frances Irene Cypert. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families along with many friends.
As a child, she lived in Missouri for a period of time and before returning to Arkansas with her family, she filed papers to be declared an emancipated minor so she would be able to work and help make a living for her family at the age of 16. During World War II, she and her sister worked in the Arkansas Ordnance Plant in Jacksonville to help support the war efforts at home. Later, she moved with her husband to Indiana and worked in the General Motors Factory making radio speakers and retired from there. She later returned home to Arkansas to be closer to her family.
Anna Beth was a member of the White County Historical Society and the West Point Baptist Church and enjoyed square dancing and being with her family and friends.
There will be a visitation for Anna Beth at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday evening, Aug. 15, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be held in Greentown, Ind., with her husband and children.
